Installation is fast because the panels are roll-formed from steel coil and seamed together on site. Once the foundations or walls are ready, we can typically erect up to 1,000 square metres of roofing in a few days. In Ras Al Khaimah, K-Span is used for warehouses and workshops in the industrial areas and free zones, agricultural and storage buildings, and covered parking. Our crew travels from Sharjah with the roll-forming equipment on a planned schedule. The programme also covers foundations and any RAK Municipality or free zone approvals, which we plan from the start.

Yes. The panels are seamed together by an automated machine that folds their edges into a continuous, watertight roof with no bolts through the seams, so water has almost nowhere to enter. In RAK, the seamed construction has another advantage: with no loose fixings along the seams, the roof resists the stronger winds found on the coast and near the mountains. The arch profile sheds rain and sand quickly, and gutters carry water away. The gable ends can be closed with cladding, doors or louvres, as the building's use requires.

RAK buildings can be insulated, and we recommend it for any space people work in. We apply closed-cell polyurethane foam insulation to the underside of the K-Span roof, which provides excellent thermal resistance and keeps RAK warehouses and workshops much cooler in summer. It also reduces condensation, which protects stored goods, and dampens the noise of rain and wind on the roof, which is noticeable in RAK's windier conditions. On coastal sites, the foam helps protect the underside of the steel from humid air. We recommend a thickness based on how the building will be used.

Our K-Span roofing systems can span up to 35 metres completely unsupported, depending on the steel gauge and arch profile. In Ras Al Khaimah, the achievable span also depends on wind exposure, which is higher than in most emirates on coastal and elevated sites, so we design each building for its location. The column-free space lets warehouses, workshops and covered yards be laid out freely for racking, vehicles and machinery. Larger buildings can be formed by joining spans side by side.
