Frames are hot-dip galvanised steel, mild steel with a powder-coated finish, or marine-grade aluminium alloy T6-6061, all rated for summer temperatures above 50°C and high humidity. The right combination depends on the job. HDPE suits car parks and play areas where airflow matters more than rain protection, PVC suits anywhere that must stay dry, and PTFE is reserved for landmark structures where the membrane has to outlast decades of sun. We recommend a combination after a site visit, not before.

Standard fabric colours are White, Cream, Green, Dark Green, Grey, Dark Grey, Orange, Yellow, Black, Red, Blue and Dark Blue. Custom colours and branded prints are available on request, which is useful for hotels, retail brands and corporate clients whose shade structures have to match brand guidelines. Colour is not purely cosmetic in the UAE. Lighter shades such as white and cream reflect more sunlight and keep the space underneath noticeably cooler, while darker shades such as dark grey and dark blue absorb more heat but hide dust and sand staining between cleans, which matters on busy car parks and industrial sites. PVDF-coated PVC holds its colour best over the long term, with minimal fading even after ten years of UAE sun. HDPE shade cloth is colour-stabilised too, but strong colours on HDPE fade more quickly than on PVC. For most UAE villas we recommend either a top-support car parking shade or a tensile-roof car parking shade. Top-support designs hang the roof from a beam above, so there are no posts beside the car doors; they have the cleanest visual profile and are the easiest to integrate with villa architecture. Tensile-roof designs make a more dramatic visual statement and give excellent UV blockage over a wider span. For exposed coastal or sandstorm-prone locations, a K-Span or GRP roof system offers maximum durability at a slightly higher cost, and it keeps the bay completely dry. Driveway width, the number of cars, whether the shade may be fixed to the villa wall, and community-management design rules all narrow the choice further. We always recommend a site visit before specifying, because the right product depends on plot orientation, the prevailing wind and the surrounding architecture as much as on the budget.

No. For clients in the UAE the site visit, the measurement, the design recommendation and the itemised quotation are all free, and nothing is charged until a project is contracted. We work this way because a shade structure cannot be priced properly from a phone call: the right design depends on the plot's orientation, the prevailing wind, the ground the foundations go into and how the space is used, and a quotation built on a guess is one that changes later. A free survey lets us quote the structure that actually fits the site, once, with the materials, the finish and the installation shown separately. The only exception is international enquiries and very large commercial tenders, where we may ask for a contribution to travel costs before the survey — and that is rare. Our quotations are itemised. A typical car parking shade quote covers fabric supply, with the material grade, colour and warranty terms stated; structural steel or aluminium supply, with the finish specified; foundation works, whether concrete footings, chemical anchors or surface fixing; transport to site; full installation labour; structural engineering documentation where it is required; and VAT. There are no hidden charges: what you see in the quotation is what you pay. Itemising matters because it lets you compare quotes like for like. Two quotes can look far apart simply because one assumes lighter fabric, thinner steel sections or no foundation work, and a line-by-line breakdown makes those differences visible before you commit. If a variation becomes necessary on site, for example because an underground service is found where a footing was planned, we price and agree it with you in writing before the work goes ahead.

We do not offer consumer financing, and most clients find the standard terms straightforward enough not to need it. For residential projects the arrangement is 50% on signing the contract and 50% on completion: the advance covers the materials and the fabrication, which are committed for your specific structure once the design is approved, and the balance is due when the shade is installed and handed over to your satisfaction. For commercial and government projects we work to the client's own standard payment terms — for example 30, 60 or 90 days net — against agreed milestones such as design approval, delivery to site and completion, and we can align invoicing with a main contractor's or a facilities team's procurement cycle. Terms are stated in the quotation so there is nothing to negotiate at the end, and every invoice itemises what it covers.

For a standard residential car parking shade covering one or two bays, our typical end-to-end timeline is 3-5 working days. Larger residential projects, such as a full villa package of pergola, parking shade and cabanas, usually run 1-2 weeks. Commercial projects with 10 or more bays, or large tensile structures, generally run 2-4 weeks. Government projects that need municipal approval add 2-6 weeks to the cycle for the approval process. Most of that time is fabrication in our Sharjah facility, where steel is cut, welded and finished and the fabric is patterned and welded to size; the on-site work itself is often a matter of days. Concrete footings need time to cure before the frame is loaded, which is built into the schedule. We provide a detailed schedule in writing as part of the contract, so you know when the crew will arrive and when the site will be handed back.

Yes. For shade installations on commercial premises, government compounds or community developments that need Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT or Sharjah Municipality approval, our engineering team prepares the structural drawings, calculations and material certificates required, and we handle the submission. For residential villa projects municipal approval is usually not required, but most master communities have their own rules on the height, colour, position and style of shade structures, and some ask for a no-objection certificate from the developer or community management before work starts. We are familiar with those rules across most major UAE developments and can prepare the drawings they ask for. Approval time is outside our control, so we build it into the project schedule rather than promising a date we cannot keep. Our engineers answer any technical comments from the authority, and we do not start fabrication until the approval is in hand.

We keep disruption to a minimum. Most residential installations are completed during normal working hours, with the homeowner present or absent as preferred, and the crew keeps driveways and entrances usable wherever the layout allows. For commercial sites we schedule around your business hours: installations at restaurants and hotels are typically done in low-traffic windows, and at schools and offices we work at weekends or during scheduled closures. Because steel and fabric are fabricated in our own Sharjah facility, most of the work happens off site, and what arrives is largely ready to assemble. Footing excavation is the noisiest stage and usually takes a day or less. Site safety is a priority on every job: we fence off the working area, follow UAE labour and safety regulations, and clear packaging and offcuts away at the end of each day, so the site is left tidy and safe for your staff, residents or guests.

Yes. Our crews work year-round, and a large share of our installations happen between June and September because that is when clients most want the shade. What changes in summer is the shape of the working day rather than the timeline. UAE labour law requires a midday rest period for outdoor work — 12:30 to 15:00 from mid-June to mid-September — so we schedule the heavier physical work, such as erecting steel and tensioning membranes, for the cooler morning and late-afternoon windows and use the midday break for work in shade or off site. Crews are equipped for the heat and site safety is managed accordingly. In practice this rarely moves a project's completion date by more than a day, and the written schedule you receive with the contract already accounts for it. Fabric and steel are fabricated indoors in Sharjah regardless of the season, so summer does not slow the workshop side of the programme at all.

Fabric warranties range from 5 years for HDPE knitted shade cloth, to 10 years for PVDF-coated PVC, to 30 years for PTFE-coated woven glass. They cover UV degradation, manufacturing defects and seam failure under normal use. Structural components such as steel frames, fixings and hardware carry a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage from extreme events such as impact or vandalism, unauthorised modifications, or lack of basic maintenance. The warranty certificate issued at handover states the exact term for each component of your installation, so there is no ambiguity later about what is covered. Warranty claims are handled directly by our Sharjah team: send us photos and your project reference, we inspect the structure, and if the fault is covered we repair or replace the component. Most fabric replacements are completed within a week, because we cut and weld the fabric in our own facility.

Maintenance is minimal. First, clean the fabric two or three times a year by spraying it with fresh water and brushing it gently if needed; avoid harsh chemicals and pressure washers, which can damage the coating. Second, inspect the fixings and hardware once a year for any looseness or corrosion; this is rare on our installations, but good practice. Third, re-tension the fabric every 3-5 years if you notice sagging, which we can do as part of an annual maintenance visit. After a sandstorm, rinse off the sand before it bakes onto the fabric, and check that nothing has blown against the structure. Keeping the fabric taut matters, because a slack membrane flaps in the wind, and flapping wears the seams and fixings far faster than sun or heat. For commercial clients we offer scheduled annual maintenance contracts at a fixed monthly fee, with a written record of each inspection.

Fabric is the part of a shade that ages; a well-made galvanised steel frame outlasts several membranes, so replacing the fabric on a sound frame is far faster and cheaper than a new installation and is usually the right call. We begin by inspecting the existing frame, cables and fixings, because a new membrane should not go onto steel that needs repair. We then agree the new fabric — often an upgrade, for instance from HDPE knitted cloth to PVDF-coated PVC — and its colour, pattern the replacement membrane to the frame's actual dimensions in our Sharjah facility, and fit and tension it on site. A typical residential replacement is completed in one to two days. The new fabric carries its own warranty, and the visit is a natural point to re-tension, re-fix and touch up the rest of the structure.

Yes. Parking-shade shifting is a service we offer regularly, because a well-built shade often outlives the reason it was installed where it is: residential clients move villa, businesses relocate, and a car park is redesigned. We dismantle the structure carefully, keeping the membrane, the steel and the fittings, transport it to the new site, and reinstall it with new foundation work — the old foundations stay behind, and the new ones are designed for the new ground. Before quoting we inspect the structure: its size, its condition and whether the fabric is worth moving or should be replaced at the same time. The cost is typically 40–60% of a new installation depending on those factors, and the new site may need its own municipality or community approval, which we handle in the same way as for a new shade. The relocated structure is re-tensioned and checked as if newly installed.

The central location keeps travel time short to most of the country's population, and it means fabrication, quality checks and installation are handled by the same company rather than passed between subcontractors. We regularly work in the outlying areas too, including Al Ain, Ruwais and the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, as well as the east coast around Fujairah and Khor Fakkan. Site visits and quotations are free wherever you are in the UAE, and the same warranty applies in every emirate.

We have completed installations in Oman and Bahrain and will quote international work where the scope justifies the travel and the logistics — typically a commercial, hospitality or government structure large enough that the same crew that fabricates in Sharjah travels to erect it. For those projects we may ask for a contribution to survey travel costs, and the programme includes shipping the fabricated steel and membrane from our facility, which we plan and price into the quotation. For routine residential and small commercial work we focus on the UAE, where our crews mobilise from Sajja, Sharjah to all seven emirates and can survey, install and maintain without the cost of travel being passed to the client.
