Arabic Majlis Tents Dubai
Shade Structures Designed for Dubai's Climate
A majlis tent in a Jumeirah or Al Barsha garden is where a Dubai family receives guests through the winter and through Ramadan: a traditional Arabic tent, fully insulated, lined and carpeted, with the air-conditioning that makes it usable in the shoulder months and the lighting that makes it beautiful at night. We build them to the plot and the family's custom — a men's majlis, a family majlis, a Ramadan tent for an evening's iftar — with the fabrics, patterns and finishes the tradition calls for.
Dubai's villa communities have guidelines on temporary and seasonal structures, and we prepare what the community asks for before the tent goes up. Hotels and event venues in Downtown, the Marina and Palm Jumeirah commission the same tents for Ramadan seasons and heritage-themed occasions, with branding kept discreet. Every tent is trial-erected at our Sharjah facility, and our own crews build, dismantle.

Dubai Shade Solutions — Frequently Asked Questions
Are the arabic majlis tents suitable for summer use in Dubai?+
Yes. Our permanent and semi-permanent Arabic majlis tents in Dubai are insulated with polyurethane foam panels and fitted with split or ducted air-conditioning, so they stay cool even in August. The insulation sits between the outer cover and the inner lining, cutting the heat that comes through the roof and walls, and proper doors and sealed joints keep the cool air in. For villas in Jumeirah, Al Barsha and Mirdif, where a majlis is often used every day to receive guests, this makes it comfortable all year. We size the air-conditioning for the majlis's area and use, and position outdoor units so their noise does not disturb guests or neighbours.
Can I choose the interior fabric patterns?+
You can. We offer a large catalogue of interior fabrics for majlis tents in Dubai, including traditional Sadu patterns, damask fabrics and modern minimalist linings. Sadu weaves, with their geometric Bedouin designs in red, black and cream, give a strongly traditional character, while damask brings a more formal, luxurious feel suited to receiving important guests. Minimalist linings in plain neutral tones suit contemporary villas. Ceiling, walls and cushions can be coordinated or contrasted, and we can combine fabrics with carpets, lighting and wooden details. We bring swatches and photos of finished majlis interiors to the site visit, so you can choose with confidence.
Do they look like real hair tents?+
They can. For Dubai clients we offer authentic woven outer covers, as well as high-performance PVC covers printed with a realistic hair texture that need no maintenance. Authentic woven covers give the true character of a traditional bait al sha'ar and suit heritage-style majlis spaces. The printed PVC alternative looks very similar from a normal viewing distance, but it is fully waterproof, resists UV and dust, and can be cleaned with a hose, which suits a permanent majlis used every day. Many Dubai owners choose the printed PVC for the outside and an authentic-feeling fabric for the inside. We can show you samples of both.
Can you install a bathroom inside the Majlis?+
Yes. Custom majlis tents we build in Dubai often include partitioned areas for a washroom and a small preparation kitchen, so guests can be hosted without walking into the main house. These are built as enclosed rooms within the majlis structure, with proper walls, doors, ventilation and lighting. Plumbing and drainage are connected to the villa's services by a licensed contractor, and we coordinate the layout so pipework and electrics are planned from the start. Permanent structures with services may need community NOC and Dubai Municipality approval, which we prepare and submit as part of the project.
