Arabic Majlis Tents Al Ain

Arabic Majlis Tents Al Ain

Shade Structures Designed for Al Ain's Climate

Al Ain is where the majlis tradition is strongest, and the large family plots of Al Jimi, Al Mutaw'ah, Al Towayya and Al Khabisi — and the farms and camel camps outside the city — pitch traditional Arabic tents every winter and every Ramadan for evenings of hospitality. Al Ain's winter nights are cooler than the coast's and its spring winds carry dust, so the tent is insulated for both, anchored for the site, and then lined, carpeted, air-conditioned and lit to the family's custom.

Al Ain families ask for the most traditional finishes — the patterns, the sadu-style linings, the low seating, the lighting — and we build to them. Every tent is trial-erected and inspected at our Sharjah facility, and our own crews travel to build, dismantle on an agreed programme. Heritage festivals and municipal events in the city use the same tents.

Al Ain Shade Solutions — Frequently Asked Questions

Are the arabic majlis tents suitable for summer use in Al Ain?+

Yes. In Al Ain, where summer temperatures are among the highest in the UAE, our year-round majlis tents are insulated with polyurethane foam and fitted with split or ducted air-conditioning, so they stay cool even in August. The insulation panels cut heat gain through the roof and walls, and sealed joints and proper doors keep cool air in and dust out. For family homes and farm compounds in Al Ain, where the majlis is central to daily life, this makes it comfortable in every season. We size the air-conditioning generously for Al Ain's heat.

Can I choose the interior fabric patterns?+

Yes. Al Ain clients can choose from traditional Sadu patterns, damask fabrics and modern minimalist linings. Sadu weaves, with their Bedouin geometric designs, suit Al Ain's strong heritage character particularly well, damask gives a formal finish for receiving guests, and plain linings suit modern homes. Walls, ceiling, cushions and curtains can be coordinated, and carpets, lighting and wooden details complete the interior. We bring swatches and photos of finished majlis interiors to the site visit.

Do they look like real hair tents?+

In Al Ain we offer both authentic woven outer covers and high-performance PVC covers printed with a realistic hair texture. Authentic woven covers are popular for heritage-style majlis spaces on farms and in traditional homes, where the genuine character matters most. The printed PVC looks very similar from normal viewing distances and is waterproof, UV-resistant and easy to clean, which suits a majlis exposed to Al Ain's intense sun and dust. Samples of both are available.

Can you install a bathroom inside the Majlis?+

Yes. Custom majlis tents in Al Ain often include partitioned washrooms and small preparation kitchens, so guests can be hosted fully within the majlis, which is especially practical on large villa and farm plots where the majlis may be some distance from the main house. These rooms have proper walls, doors, ventilation and lighting, and plumbing and drainage are connected to the property's services by a licensed contractor. Permanent structures may need municipality approval under the Abu Dhabi system, which we prepare and submit.
