Three structure types do most of the commercial work, and the choice between them is set by the row layout and whether the roof must be waterproof.

Truss cantilever carries the roof from a column outside the bay, so back-to-back rows have no column down the centre line between them. It is the design most often specified for exactly that layout, and it costs more per square metre than a post-and-beam frame because of the truss needed to reach from one side — the unobstructed clearance is what pays for it. K-Span is a self-supporting curved steel roof with no fabric to re-tension and no membrane to sag or tear over the years. It gives the widest column-free spans in the range, sheds rain fast and needs minimal upkeep — which is why it is the answer for logistics yards, fleet parking and podium decks that must stay dry. Tensile roof membranes carry load in tension across the span, so a single column covers a wider roof area and fewer posts are needed between bays. Lighter than a rigid roof, with a lower foundation load, they suit malls, office parks and mixed-use developments that want open parking without a forest of posts. Commercial work is quoted per square metre against a bill of quantities, and the rate falls as the bay count rises. What moves it is the structure type, the roofing material, the span and clear height, the foundations the site allows — a podium anchor is a different job from a footing in open ground — the access and phasing constraints, and the fire specification of the fabric. A quotation worth comparing states the steel sections and their galvanising, the fabric type and GSM with its fire rating, the foundation design, what drawings and approvals are included, the phasing plan and the warranty term for each component. We do not publish a rate card; every commercial job is surveyed and quoted against the site.

An occupied car park is installed in sections. A block of bays is coned off, foundations go in, the frames are raised and roofed, the block is handed back, and the crew moves to the next — so the site loses a fraction of its capacity at any time rather than all of it. Fabrication happens off site at our Sharjah facility, so what arrives is assembled, not built, and our own crews do the installation rather than subcontractors. Commercial parking shades go through the municipality as part of the building or external works approval, with structural calculations and drawings submitted before fabrication. Where the structure sits within fire-safety setback distances or on an institutional site, civil defence requirements apply and the fabric must be fire-rated — our PVDF-coated PVC is specified fire-retardant at 850 GSM. A commercial structure needs an inspection after every serious sandstorm, a pre-summer check of seams, fixings and base plates, and re-tensioning when the fabric slackens — done on a schedule, not when someone notices.
