Retractable Shade Sail System Sharjah

A standard single-panel retractable shade sail installation in Sharjah takes one day from our arrival on site, and we carry all hardware and tools in the van. For motorised systems we allow a second day if electrical wiring to an outdoor power point is needed and not already in place. Before installation day, we make the fabric panel to measure and prepare the track and brackets in our Sajja facility, so the time on site is spent fixing and fitting rather than fabricating. Multi-panel and commercial systems take longer, and we give you a schedule in advance. At the end of the installation we test the system fully and show you how to open, close and look after it.

Yes. Our retractable systems are designed to be used all year round in Sharjah. We recommend retracting the sail during shamal winds and heavy dust, and giving the fabric a light clean at the start and end of summer to clear the dust that builds up in the slider channels. In the cooler months, many owners leave the sail retracted in the evening to enjoy the open sky, and extend it during the day. In summer it is usually extended from mid-morning. Because the sail can be retracted when it is not needed, it suffers less wear from wind and dust than a fixed sail left out all year. An annual service keeps the mechanism running smoothly.

For spaces where you want as much flexibility as possible, such as a garden seating area used for daytime shade and for evening dining under the stars, a retractable shade sail is more versatile than a fixed cover. For permanent cover in all weather, a fixed tensile or solid-roof structure may be more suitable. We can advise on the best option for your space in Sharjah during a free site visit. A retractable sail also lets winter sun in, which many families appreciate, and it can be retracted in strong wind. A fixed pergola cover needs no operation and can be fully waterproof, which suits spaces used in rain or needing year-round cover. Some clients combine both: a fixed pergola frame with a retractable sail fitted inside it.

We stock solution-dyed acrylic in more than 30 standard colours, including white, cream, beige, charcoal, navy, olive, terracotta and grey. Custom colours are available on orders of two or more matching panels. HDPE mesh comes in a more limited range, usually sand, charcoal and forest green. Colour affects more than appearance. Lighter colours reflect sunlight and keep the space beneath cooler and brighter, while darker colours give deeper shade and hide dust between cleans. Many clients choose a colour that matches their villa's window frames or garden furniture. We bring fabric samples to the site visit so you can compare them in real daylight, where colours often look quite different from how they appear on a screen.
